Your experiences: It's story time:  Six weeks ago, when I first got VikisKit in the mail, the first thing I thought of was 'theatre'.  So, I began construction well in advance of the deadline.  I built a 12" x 16"  'theatre' shell for my 12" doll to pose in.  I selected for the right dress pattern for the kit fabrics and rescued doll I chose for this venture, planned the back drop, front, props, etc. with the contents of the kit.  Then, 4 weeks ago, my hubby went in for his sixth surgery in less than 18 months.  Needless to say, for the past month, it has not been easy being creative, a nurse, a dog's mom, and contend with a dirty house and all that goes with it.

Thank heavens my hubby finally started to get around on his own pretty good this past week.   I finally told him I needed some serious time to get my contest entry done.  When I told him that I have only 48 hours to get my kit done for the contest, he looked at me - looked at the stuff - looked at all the work I began - then he asked, " what is the kit for if you are using all this other stuff?"  That one statement nearly knocked the wind out of my sails.

Having never been in a kit contest before, I didn't realize the real potential of what I had.

So, late Thursday night I start all over from scratch.  I picked up my first kit pieces - the two white pipe cleaners - and there it began.  My hands went wild, and didn't stop until 2:30 Friday morning.  By that time, the two pipe cleaners became  the body's frame.  4 additional pipe cleaners were used to create a body with arms, leg, and neck.  The  off white felt was used to make the body skin.  By  2 a.m., I had a fully posable doll body.

Saturday morning - June24th at 8am, I am up and running trying to meet deadline.  The doll then received hair, face, clothes, etc.   My contest entry pictures pretty much show everything, and I used everything that came with the kit to make the doll from scratch.  My contest link photos were submitted at 11:28 pm last night, and it was only then that I realized that I didn't send a description of what I did.  When I got up this morning - I realized that I did not even send the right contest form with my entry.
