Please read the rules. There is a fee per photo if we must edit them to our standards, but there is also a tutorial to help you.

1 credit = 1 entry. You will be allowed to save unused credits for up to 2 years from the purchase date which means you can pick and choose which contests you enter.

If you are thinking about joining Vikis Finds please do so before you buy your contest credits. We will not give refunds if you buy credits then decide to join.

Please name your creations -- they deserve it! You may enter as many dolls as you want.

You are required to use the Official Contest Entry form for each doll entered. Please send a separate entry for each doll and be sure to select all options that apply. We will not take responsibility for dolls and/or categories missed if the form was not filled out completely and correctly.

Do not show your photo to other groups or list on ebay until I give you the release date.  I will get this done as quickly as possible so that you can have these new creations up for sale . Do not discuss your dolls until I tell you all votes are collected.  This takes time.  The judges will have a couple of days before the site is opened to the public, but they are still voting most of the following week.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This must be a new OOAK - one that is not on ebay and has not been shown before.  Please do not request your friends to vote on your doll. The judges decision will be 75-80% of the final result. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The first 5 photographs are required - they are part of the judging process. Solid color background for all of the first 4 photos is required. Digitally enhanced images will only be permitted on photo #6 any other image that has had any digital enhancement beyond basic photo processing will not be used and will result in the entry being disqualified. All Photographs submitted for the contest are required to be no larger than 600x600 and resolution can be no higher than 97 ppi. Please be sure that you save your images as either .jpg (preferred) or .gif files. Bmp files are just too large to use even when they are set at the sizes we specify. Any photos submitted That do not follow these rules will not be used and the doll will be disqualified.

If you are not sure how to set your images up or do not have a photo editing software please visit our Photo Editing Tutorial. Here we have provided you with all of the tools necessary to send your photos correctly and help us improve the turn around time on the web site. If you are still unable to edit your images correctly or would like someone else to do it for you you may contact PhotoOPContest@vikisfinds.com a minimum of three days before the contest ends to arrange for one of the design team to edit your photos. Please keep in mind the you will be charged $1.00 per photo to cover our time.

Please name your photos like below. Please replace "dollsname" with the name of your doll. Do not use capitals or spaces in your photo names.

4 - dollsnamepose.jpg ---- any pose you think shows your doll off the best

5 - dollsnamebefore.jpg ---- this can be of a doll similar to the one you are working on.

6 - dollsnamedetails.jpg ---- This can be any background you wish, it can also be digitally enhanced. It can be a photo that shows the detail finishes of the outfit on the inside or outside; or shoes you have crafted for the outfit  -- if you want and whatever you want - not required

NOTE:  The before photo MUST be a picture of the ACTUAL original doll you have created for the contest, it can not be a different yet similar doll. 

Some digital editing will be permitted on ALL photos (1-6) this includes any processes necessary for basic photo processing. Examples of these processes are crop, resize, sharpen, minor lighting and color adjustments, resample, etc.

Digital editing that will not be permitted on any photos with excpetion to #6 includes but is not limited to image extraction, vignettes, frames and borders, text, text effects, visible watermarks, filters, etc.

Do not send your photos to this group list or your entry will be disqualified --   Send questions to: PhotoOPContest@vikisfinds.com. These must be sent by the contest due date and must be sent through the Official Entry Form only.  This will allow you time to put your dolls up for sale afterwards.

Contest: Accessories such as jewelry, glasses, hats, tiaras, purses, briefcases, shoes, floats, backgrounds, masks, and items used in a display can be from any source . 

The costume must be created by the artist - or from someone you know, and it has never been shown on any auction site.

Photography is important because the judges only have the photos you send to judge your creation, and will be judging the photography as well.  Make sure you have a good size - no thumbnails.  We can manage jpg, gif and most web formats. jpg is the preferred format for the web site.
