Tari

Was Fashion Fever

Tari Details :
Small Doll, Redress, Rescued, No Pattern or Sloper Used.

Artist Notes:
Tari came to me in a box with other dolls, and needed a little cleaning up and a soft refresh of her hair. She received her name because Tari means "fresh" in Hebrew and I thought she could not be more fresh and breezy.

Tari's sweet expression called out for pure white. The crocheted dress is full length and layered in ruffles. She loves pink, therefore I designed a hip hugger removable underskirt, which closes with one snap and is the perfect accessory for her pink bikini and white beach cover up. The gown closes with three small snaps, plus one at the neck to hold the semi-Victorian theme rose in the hollow of her throat.

The bodice is fitted. I used a basket design that is a woven with white crochet thread and pink organza ribbon. The bow at the back of the dress, at her waist, is also the same ribbon. You'll notice there is a light pink rose on the bow in the back which matches the one at her throat.

Her veil is made of two layers of white organza stitched to a headband. The headband is covered in the light pink organza ribbon, and has several pink roses. The two layers means she can walk down the aisle, and then have her new husband lift it gently for that first Mr. & Mrs. kiss.

Her bouquet is round with tiny crochet lace around the edges. It is loaded with her favorite roses.

The white gown is size 20 cotton thread and has 2 large balls of thread giving it a nice weight that lays perfectly against her skin and fall gently to the floor. She wears pinkish pearl high heels. The pink accessories are also size 20 thread; the bikini can be worn as her bra and panties in a lingerer ensemble -- just put on the long pink skirt and the white beach cover up... and wait for Mr. X to have the wedding night of his fantasy.

Making this outfit was pure joy. Someday I'll use a pattern, but until then, Tari wears an OOAK gown and ensemble
