Artist Notes:
Ever since she was a little girl, Donna Marie would dream of the day she would wear her Great Grandmothers Wedding dress. Now that the day is drawing near, she sits down and checks her list; Something old, The Wedding Dress; Something New, the veil; Something Borrowed, The cameo that her Auntie lent her that was her great grandmothers; and finally something blue... we will let the groom find that later! Now that the day is here, lets give some introduction too the wedding party, far left we have Tina, Donna Maries best friend from High School, then Elizabeth, the grooms sister and Donna's college roommate who introduced the happy couple, the maid of honor is Donna Maries Twin sister Carol Ann, then the Bride, Donna Marie, then Paul the Groom, The best man is Tom the grooms middle brother, Gaylen who is Paul's oldest brother who is blind, then Antonio, Tina's brother and Gaylen's partner.

Technical notes on creation. Wedding dress is not removable, sewn onto doll, as is all the outfits for the bridesmaids, groom, and groomsmen. The brides dress is all Bridal White Satin, the lace is all clippings from a repeating pattern vinyl table cloth cut into sections, hand stitched on, then beaded with over 600 pearl and iridescent beads all sewn onto the dress after it was on the doll. Bridesmaid dresses are from a personal design and pattern created for this contest. Waste wrap mimics the Victorian style with a seven panel Venetian pleat ontop of the lighter blue and in keeping it contemporary the waist wrap is removable and doubles as a cape, leaving a simple yet elegant and fully lined knee length dress. The Cutaway tuxs are from a personal pattern created for this contest. The ascots are painted in a stripe too give more definition in color. Total time from design too completion is 6 months.
